How We Use Your Information:

1. Service Provision: We use the collected information to provide and optimize NekoExpense's features and services, including AI-powered receipt scanning, expense categorization, report generation, payment processing, and customer support.

2. AI Processing: Receipt images and documents you submit are processed by our AI system solely to extract expense data for your account. We do not use your individual receipt data to train AI models that are shared with or sold to third parties.

3. Communication: We may use your email address to send you important updates, notifications, and service-related communications. You can opt out of promotional emails by following the unsubscribe instructions included in the email.

4. Aggregated Data: We may aggregate and anonymize the collected information to generate statistical data and insights for analytical purposes. This information does not personally identify you and is used to improve our services and understand user trends.

Information Sharing:

1. Third-Party Service Providers: We may share your personal information with trusted third-party service providers who assist us in operating NekoExpense, such as payment processors, cloud hosting providers, AI processing services, and customer support platforms. These service providers are contractually obligated to protect your information and can only use it for the specified purposes.

2. Receipt images are transmitted and stored using encrypted channels. Access to receipt data is restricted to authorized systems and personnel required for service provision.

3. While we strive to protect your information, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is 100% secure. Therefore, we cannot guarantee absolute security. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account information, including your login credentials.

Data Retention:

1. Your receipt data and expense records are retained for as long as your account is active, subject to the storage limits of your plan (1,000 receipts for Free, 100,000 for Pro). You may delete individual receipts or your entire account at any time.

2. Upon account deletion, your personal information and receipt data will be permanently removed from our systems within 30 days, except where retention is required by applicable law.

Children's Privacy:

NekoExpense is not intended for use by individuals under the age of 18. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child without parental consent, we will take steps to remove the information from our systems.

Changes to the Privacy Policy:

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time, including to reflect changes in our AI processing capabilities or data practices. Any changes will be posted on this page, and the "Last Updated" date at the top of the Privacy Policy will reflect the effective date of the revisions.
